Welcome to stage 23 of our training.

Please remember that if anything is unclear, you need only ask.

This week, as promised, we are going to try and give ourselves more time by getting rid of spam.

If you are like me, you really despise spam.

The problem is that whatever measures we seem to take to eradicate spam from our in boxes, the more work created for us. The typical scenario is that you use "Outlook" and the built-in spam filter. The result of this is that you have a new folder called "junk mail" and this gets filled up. You then cannot resist the temptation to look in the folder anyway... and quite rightly so because there will be messages that should not be in there anyway (maybe even one from me).

One solution would be to change the settings and have these messages deleted but, this is very dangerous as those messages that were incorrectly 'diagnosed' as junk mail would be gone forever.

There are also various services where you filter your mail before receiving it (such as SpamCop). These are well-intentioned but actually just put another layer of complication into the equation for exactly the same result.

Ever wanting to bring you solutions to on-line business problems (and wherever possible at no cost), I have created a web page that will resolve (at least part of) the problem:
